Leadership
He started his career with African Newspapers of Nigeria Pls; Publishers of Nigeria Tribune Newspapers in the year 2000 in the account department of the Company. He joined Mayfield Investment Ltd, a stock broking firm in 2004 and was later transferred to Mayfield Finance Company Ltd as Credit and Marketing Officer where he worked till 2007.
He worked with IEI Assets Limited between 2007 and 2010 where he headed the Private Equity and Fund Management units. In 2010, he joined International Energy Insurance Plc as the Head of Investment, Treasury & Budget and left in August 2020 to join GTI Asset Management & Trust Limited as the Head, Fund Management. In June 2022, he was appointed Managing Director of GTI Asset Management and Trust Limited, Nigeria, where he worked diligently to see the company through its repositioning exercise. He left the company in December 2024 after meritorious service to join Citadel Asset Management Limited as the pioneer Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer.
He holds a Higher National Diploma in Statistics, B.Sc. in Economics & Operations Research and an MBA in Financial Management. He is a registered Fund Manager with the Securities & Exchange Commission, Nigeria. He is an Associate of Association of Investment & Portfolio Managers in Nigeria. He has attended various training programs in Nigeria and abroad including Private Equity & Capital Market, Investment and Portfolio Management Technique organized by Euromoney Training EMEA, London.
He has 15 years senior management level experience across several asset management companies in Ghana. As Executive Director of Linx Capital Ltd (2022–24), General Manager of IFS Capital Management Ltd (2016–18) and as Head of UMB Investment Holdings Ltd (2011–15) – all being licensed asset management companies in Ghana. He also worked as Senior Investment Officer in the Corporate Finance & Advisory Services Department of the Universal Merchant Bank Ltd (UMB) in Ghana.
Before joining the financial services sector, he worked as Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer at the Volta River Authority (the national power utility company) and as a Sales Engineer at Mantrac Ghana Ltd (sole distributors of Caterpillar earth-moving equipment in Ghana).
Manfred holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi; an MBA (finance) and MSc Financial Risk Management both from the University of Ghana, Legon. He also has an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK.
